Personal Portfolio, showing excellence in Web, Illustration, Interaction, Graphics, as well as Standards Compliance
The name is Kurt Johnson and I love the internet, especially when it comes to designing and coding for it. It's one of my guilty little pleasures that I just happen to also make money at, so go ahead and check me out.
A well-known tennis pro who is now one of the most effective trainers wanted a website that showcased his influence in the tennis community. This media-centric site is a great catalog of Gabe's achievements as well as ITA USA's.
Designed many of the inner pages. Optimized graphics and optimized previous XHTML and CSS to W3C Standards. Worked on at Lightmaker.
Hachette came to Lightmaker looking for a small website for their new book series that is quickly gaining much attention, Beautiful Darkness. After the designer created the Look and Feel for the website, I jumped in to finish the rest of the website, meaning I designed all of the inner pages based on the look and feel, and created the XHTML/CSS/jQuery functionality. Worked on while at Lightmaker.
Worked on while at Lightmaker. Created using XHTML/CSS/jQuery. This project also required me to design the layout for the content pages all the while carrying the look and feel originally created by the Art Director. Original design is no longer online.
Worked on while at Lightmaker. I was tasked with building out many of the inner pages, meaning I was in charge of carrying the look and feel of the website across the board and creating the layout, paying attention to every detail and making sure to stay consistent all while creating the XHTML/CSS at the same time.
Worked on while at Lightmaker. This e-commerce website was given to us and the layout had to be redesigned by us and fully coded in XHTML/CSS in order to be fully cross-browser compatible and standards complient.
